Part-Time Instructor

Dr. Andie Tran is a part-time instructor in counseling at Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. Her areas of specialization include Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) mental health needs, increasing access to culturally responsive trauma-informed care to first and second generation BIPOC folks struggling with suicidal ideation and self-harming behaviors, and exploring avenues to provide socioculturally attuned psychotherapy.

Dr. Andie currently practices as a full-time psychotherapist at her private practice, Wild Roots Psychotherapy & Family Counseling Inc. Her practice focuses on providing remote, culturally responsive care to the AANHPI and BIPOC community in California. She has past experience working with children and adolescents, and their families, in acute settings, addressing suicidal behaviors/ideation, self-harming behaviors, and other safety risks, conducting needs assessments to facilitate third order change in the mental health organizations, and providing socioculturally attuned services to underprivileged and marginalized populations.
