Lecturer

Dr. Carly Block is a lecturer in sport and performance psychology at Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. She teaches and supervises graduate students in the Sport Psychology program. She also directs the BU Sport Psychology team.

Dr. Block’s research focus aligns with her theory-to-practice approach in which she is working toward developing evidence-based psychological interventions for specific populations in sports, such as goalkeepers and perfectionistic athletes. She has coauthored manuscripts that have been published in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at international and national conferences within the field of sport psychology. Dr. Block recently received the Young Researcher Award from the Association for Applied Sport Psychology for her work.

Dr. Block is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant® by the Association for Applied Sport Psychology and has served as a consultant for collegiate, competitive youth, and professional athletes and performers at both the individual and team level.
