
Donald J. Beaudette
Associate Professor of the Practice (Retired)
Dr. Donald J. Beaudette is an associate professor of the practice (retired) at Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. As director of the PK–12 Educational Leadership Licensure program, Dr. Beaudette was responsible for assisting aspiring and new school leaders develop the skills and knowledge necessary to lead schools and school systems in rapidly changing and challenging environments. His work involved helping schools and school districts identify, prepare and mentor leaders for tomorrow’s schools, and plan and develop programs that respond to the needs of students in prekindergarten through grade 12 and beyond.
Dr. Beaudette’s professional interests included strategic planning, school-based management, performance-based leadership and evaluation, school finance, facilities planning, policy analysis, personnel recruiting and mentoring, and interagency collaboration. In addition to being an adjunct lecturer at Boston University for several years, Dr. Beaudette served as a guest lecturer on a variety of educational topics at other colleges and universities and several professional conferences throughout New England. He is a past president of the New England Association of School Superintendents and a member of the National Superintendents Roundtable and the American Association of School Administrators.
