Emily Stolz
Research Fellow
Emily Stolz is a research fellow at the Center on the Ecology of Early Development (CEED) at Boston University. Her research interests center on the ways in which schools support the ethnic-racial identity development of young children. She approaches this topic from a strengths-based, ecological lens by considering the messages that children receive about their ethnic-racial background from a myriad of influences including teachers, administrators, and school structures. She has experience conducting literature reviews, synthesizing research, and developing and administering professional learning experiences for educators.
Before working at CEED, Ms. Stolz was an elementary teacher in two large public school districts where she used art, movement, and inquiry-based pedagogical methods to create joyful learning spaces.
