
Hanyun Cui
Doctoral Student
Hanyun Cui is a doctoral student in educational policy studies at Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. Hanyun focuses on the application of quantitative methods and interdisciplinary research in social science, especially in education. Her research interests include the teacher workforce in K–12 education, women in STEM in higher education and their career pathways, and a variety of topics in educational leadership, economics of education, and organizational behaviors.
As a master’s student at New York University, Hanyun completed a capstone project that analyzed the relationship between graduation rates and the percentage of tenured or tenure-track faculty, which focuses on faculty employment and higher education finance, using the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS).
