Ryan Lovell

Ryan Lovell is the assistant dean for academic affairs at Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. He provides oversight of academic affairs and manages the college’s partnership agreements. Mr. Lovell also directs the Professional Preparation Office, which works closely with faculty to provide centralized services across all academic programs for educator licensure and accreditation, field education, and supporting program assessment and evaluation, ensuring BU Wheelock’s programs are high quality and effective.
Previously, Mr. Lovell worked at Endicott College and with Educator Preparation at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Outside BU, he served as a founding member of the board of trustees of the Bentley Academy Charter School in Salem and served as chair from 2015–2020. Mr. Lovell also serves as a volunteer reviewer for the Association for the Advancement of Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP).
