Stuart Beard

Stuart Beard is the lab manager for CityLab at Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development, where he is responsible for validating and refining new laboratory experiences for CityLab, as well as the day-to-day operation of the lab. He also plays a significant role in developing and implementing the online/virtual learning materials and live-streaming technology for the web-based components of CityLab’s curriculum modules.

Mr. Beard started his career working in research labs, first at Dartmouth College and then at the University of Rochester. Following those experiences, he worked in sales, selling new and used lab equipment to colleges and universities across the United States. After working in sales for several years, Mr. Beard is excited to return to the lab to support the education of the next generation of scientists by helping them to “boldly go where no one has gone before.”
