Irena Katz Awarded Excellence in Part-time Teaching
Congratulations to Russian Lecturer, Irena Katz, who is a recipient of the 2020 Dean’s Awards for Excellence in Part-Time Teaching.
CAS Dean Sclaroff writes, ““Irena has taught first- and second-year Russian at BU, with only a short interruption, since 1988. From the end of the Cold War to the advent of hybrid language courses taught partly online, Irena has been an anchor not only of the Russian language program but also of our campus’s Russian community. She is a master teacher and cherished colleague, and she has been a steadfast mentor to generations of BU students.”
