Dr. Xiaoyang Zhou Presents at Two International Conferences in 2011
On May 20-21, 2011, Dr. Xiaoyang Zhou presented her paper, “Discussing Teaching Materials of Advanced Chinese Courses at the American University Level,” at Columbia University’s 2011 International Conference on Chinese Textbook and New Teaching Resources.
In November 2011, Dr. Zhou traveled to the California Language Teachers Association (CLTA) annual conference, where she acted as Chair of the Boston University panel and presented her paper, “Efficient Training Techniques for Inexperienced Chinese Instructors.” The session highlighted various teacher training models, conceptual frameworks for textbooks, and demonstrations on how to use newly designed teaching materials for effective grammar instruction.
