Senior Lecturer in German
Spring 2025 Office Hours: Wednesdays 2:30-4:30 and Fridays 1:30-2:30.
After getting her MA in Linguistics from the Universität Leipzig, Germany, Christiane attended Indiana University, Bloomington, working towards a joint PhD in Germanic Studies and Linguistics. While at IU, she gained extensive language teaching experience, teaching all levels of German and one semester of Dutch. She spent several summers teaching US High School students at an immersion summer program in Germany and also taught one year for the IU German summer program in Austria. Her research interests are German phonology, German dialects, and all aspects of language acquisition, especially on the phonological level.
