In 2017, the CAS Writing Program was awarded the CCCC Writing Program Certificate of Excellence for “imaginatively address[ing] the needs and opportunities of its students, instructors, institution, and locale,” “offer[ing] exemplary ongoing professional development for faculty of all ranks, including adjunct/contingent faculty,” “treat[ing] contingent faculty respectfully, humanely, and professionally,” and “us[ing] current best practices in the field,” among other criteria.
