Bio

David Shawn teaches WR seminars on topics including “Lincoln & His Legacy,” “Running for the Presidency,” “Oratory in America,” “Emerson and His Circle,” and “Antebellum Reform.” He also teaches a WID tutor training course, WR 597 “Tutoring Writing in the Disciplines.” He served as Coordinator of the CAS Writing Center for ten years. On writing in the disciplines, he collaborates with faculty and administrators in departments and colleges across Boston University.
