Jessie Anderson

Ph.D. Candidate in Biomedical Engineering

Jessie Anderson is a PhD student in Biomedical Engineering. She received her BS in Mechanical Engineering from Western Kentucky University, then joined Rice 360 Institute for Global Health where she performed lab and clinical research for BiliSpec, a point-of-care neonatal jaundice diagnostic tool. She is co-advised by Dr. David Boas and Dr. Muhammad Zaman. Her work focuses on the fNIRS (wearable neuroimaging modality) development, application to studying emotional regulation in young populations, and translation to global contexts.
