Yu Zou presented a paper at ASME SBC.

Dongshan Wei’s paper entitled “Friction between alpha-Al2O3 (0001) surfaces and the effects of surface hydroxylation” was accepted for publication in Surface Science.

I-Kuan Lin’s paper entitled “Thermomechanical behavior and microstructural evolution of biomaterial microcantilevers for infrared application was accepted for publication in Journal of Micromechanics and Microengineering.

I-Kuan Lin passed the Ph.D. dissertation prospectus defense.

Yu Zou’s paper entitled “An experimental and theoretical study on the anisotropy of elastin network” was accepted for publication in Annals of Biomedical Engineering.

Yu Zou, Dongshan Wei, I-Kuan Lin, and Ming-Jay Chow from MSTBL presented 4 papers at ASME IMECE.

Undergraduate student Kevin Yu won UROP funded research opportunity grant (FROG) from College of Engineering.

Dr. Katherine Zhang’s paper entitled “Deformation of patterned bilayer plate microstructures subjected to thermal loading” was accepted for publication in International Journal of Solids and Structures.

Ming-Jay Chow successfully defended his Master’s thesis. Jay will continue work with Dr. Zhang as a Ph.D. student.
