CAREERBEAM

CareerBeam is a free, comprehensive career management system designed to help you clarify your career goals and explore your career options through a variety of tools.

Self-evaluation: CareerBeam’s career assessment tools factor in your values, temperament, interests, and personality to help you develop and achieve your professional goals.

Résumés and cover letter builders: Whether you are writing a résumé for the first time or updating the one you have, use CareerBeam for building an accomplishment-based résumé and cover letter.

Research on hundreds of industries: Access more than 700 industry segments to get information such as recent developments, business challenges, trends, and opportunities.

Conversation starters: Leverage the “Conversation Starters” section in the Industry Database for a list of the most relevant topics and questions to discuss when networking.

Past participants came from KPMG, Viacom, the Boston Red Sox, Microsoft, PricewaterhouseCoopers, the Wall Street Journal, and more.

BU CareerLink is your source for finding jobs targeted just for Boston University alumni and students. You can upload résumés and cover letters, sign up for career events, connect with recruiters, and apply for jobs. Go to bu.edu/careers/services-workshops to explore.

THE BU ALUMNI ASSOCIATION ON LINKEDIN

The BU Alumni Association group on LinkedIn harnesses the power of 30,000 alumni around the world by facilitating connections, building powerful networks, promoting mentoring, fostering career conversations, and highlighting programs that connect us to each other, our communities, and current students and faculty. CAREER ADVISORY NETWORK

This online network includes nearly 6,000 alumni volunteers, who self-select to connect with fellow alumni and current BU students for peer-to-peer networking, informational purposes, mentoring, and more. Search the database, contact advisers, or become an adviser at bu.edu/alumni/careers.
