Schulman's The Seventies a NYT Notable Book of 2001

Bruce Schulman, a CAS professor of history and director of the GRS American and New England Studies Program, has written a book that was named one of the New York Times Notable Books of the Year for 2001. The Seventies: The Great Shift in American Culture, Politics, and Society defines the era of the '70s as actually beginning in 1969, with Woodstock and the end of the post-World War II economic boom, and ending in 1984, the year of Ronald Reagan's successful reelection campaign.
