Leaving BU?

When you are leaving your employment, you should inform your supervisor that you are planning to leave your position by providing a written resignation letter at least 2 weeks prior to your last day of employment if you are non-exempt and one month prior if you are exempt.

Health and Dental Plans Coverage ends on the last day of the month in which your employment ends. You may continue coverage through COBRA.

Coverage ends on the last day of the month in which your employment ends.  You may convert your coverage to an individual policy within 31 days of the termination of coverage.

Coverage ends 31 days after your employment ends.  You may convert your coverage to an individual policy.

Flexible Spending Accounts


You can be reimbursed for eligible expenses incurred through your last day of employment.  All claims must be submitted by March 31 following the end of the calendar year in which your employment ends.
