Services at the BU Libraries

We’re here to help, whether you’re taking the next step in a research project, implementing tools for a course you’re teaching, or discovering the range of services available to you.

Circulation

Learn who can check out material and read about loan and return policies—including fines. If an item you need is off-site, circulation staff can help you retrieve it.

Reference

Whether you’re looking for pointers on getting started with a paper or could use a subject specialist’s advice on finding the best resources for your research, our reference team is here to help.

Data Services

Data management is an essential area of responsible research. Learn how to comply with funding agency requirements and ensure good preservation and/or access for the future.

Interlibrary Borrowing

When you need materials beyond the BU Libraries collections, the Boston Library Consortium (BLC), and Interlibrary Loan (ILL) make it possible.
