Officer Rick Camillo met with the victim of a past larceny of a bicycle. The victim stated that sometime between 4:00 PM on 9/19/2008 and 8:30 AM on 9/22/2008 his bicycle which was locked and secured to the bike rack in front of 844 Beacon St was taken. The victim stated that his GM Yukon mountain bike, valued at $139.00 and the lock, valued at $25.00 were taken.

Officer Joseph Sirignano responded to meet with the victim of a past larceny of a computer. Upon arrival he met with the victim who stated that on 9/18/2008 at 2:00 PM she left the classroom, 529, leaving her computer unattended on the desk. She returned at 4:20 PM and discovered that someone had removed her laptop computer from the desk. She checked with the lost and found desk located in room 211 to inquire if anyone had found her computer and turned it in. The computer had not been turned in, according to the administrative staff. The classroom is a common area and can be accessed by anyone in the building. The door is not normally secured upon completion of classes, according to the victim. She added that there were several students still in the classroom prior to her leaving the room. The victim reports that her Dell Inspiron laptop computer was valued at $1,000.00.

Officers Rick Camillo and Brandon Stone responded to the area of Beacon St and Park Dr for a report of a male party attempting to remove a bike from a parking meter. Upon arrival officers witnessed an individual cutting through the cable lock of a bike secured to a parking meter in front of 870 Beacon St. Sergeant Larry Cuzzi and Officer Joseph Sirignano also arrived on scene. The suspect was asked if the bike belonged to him and he stated no, he believed the bike to be abandoned. The suspect was in possession of a number of tools at the time the stop was made. The tools included a silver multi tool, needle nose pliers, nail puller/cable cutter, and a folding pocket knife. The suspect was placed under arrest for Attempt to Commit Crime (Larceny) and Malicious Destruction of Property under $250.00.

2:30 AM 8017942 9/22/2008 Mon Bravo B&E NIGHTTIME FOR FELONY c266 S16 Open 24 BAY STATE RD Public Property STREET
Officer Brandon Stone observed a van parked on the street with its window broken. The van’s passenger side rear double-door window was smashed. On the front windshield was a GPS mount without a GPS. The van which had government plates belongs to the BU ROTC program. An identical van, also belonging to the ROTC program, parked behind it still had a GPS on the dashboard. A search of the area for suspects was met with negative results. There did not appear to be anything of value in the van. A business card with the IRC# was left on the windshield. There are no known suspects at this time.

Officer Joseph Sirignano observed that the double doors and brick facia of the case center building located at 285 Babcock St had been spraypainted with silver paint. The doors are located on the west side of the building and are the last set of doors to the left of the front entrance on Babcock St. B&G was notified of the graffiti and several photos were taken.

Officer Joseph Sirignano observed that the glass of the parking attendant booth at 808 Commonwealth Av had been defaced with a white paint marker. Written on several panes of glass on the parking booth (east side) were numerous depictions of male genitalia as well as explicit written words referring to female genitalia. There are no known suspects at this time. Several photographs were taken of the booth and were forwarded to the email address of evidence officer Kanavich.

2:35 AM 8017856 9/21/2008 Sun Alpha DRUG, POSSESS CLASS D c94C S34 Court Summons 273 BABCOCK ST Residential COMMON AREA
Officers William Donnellan and Peter McCarron were in the area of 273 Babcock St when they detected the smell marijuana burning in the courtyard. Officers proceeded to the courtyard and found two males standing next to a lit glass pipe that contained burning marijuana and an opaque pill bottle that contained a green leafy matter believed to be marijuana. When questioned both parties stated that they had been smoking marijuana but denied ownership of the drugs. When asked where they got the marijuana they stated they received it from a friend. The suspects were informed that the drugs were being seized and they would be summonsed to Brighton District Court for violating M.G.L. 94c section 34 possession of a Class D drug.

Officers Peter McCarron and William Donnellan observed three males standing in the corner of the secluded court yard known as the Grotto. As they approached the three males, two of the males walked away toward the entrance to 273 Babcock St. Both parties were stopped and identified and the third party was observed lighting up a marijuana blunt cigar and smoking it as they approached. Inside the blunt cigar was a brown and green leafy substance and the smell was consistent of burnt marijuana. The blunt cigar was entered as seized and the suspect was advised that a court complaint will be filed in Brighton District Court.

Officer Antoine Ramos was alerted by Sergeant Jack St. Hilaire of a possible intoxicated female vomiting in the women’s bathroom. Officer Ramos met with the victim as she was walking out of the bathroom. Officer Ramos observed that the victim was having difficultly walking on her own and she could not maintain her balance while standing. The victim sat on a couch near the men’s bathroom and began vomiting. The victim’s eyes were glazed over and her speech was slurred. The victim stated that she had been drinking earlier in the evening and was not feeling well. Mercy ambulance responded and transported the victim to Beth Israel Hospital for further treatment.

Officer Jack Struble responded to the second floor ball room for a highly intoxicated female. Upon arrival he and Boston EMS met with the victim. The intoxicated female was escorted to the ambulance and then transported to the Beth Israel Hospital by Boston EMS.

Officer Anicet Dybantsa responded for a report of an intoxicated female. Upon arrival he met with the reporting party who stated that at 9:27 PM, her roommate had 8 shots of liquor and some Volta, they then started walking to 775 Commonwealth Av from 610 Beacon St. Once they reached 655 Commonwealth Av she started vomiting and then passed out on the bench. The reporting party further stated that she did not know how her roommate obtained the alcohol. Mercy ambulance responded and transported the victim to St Elizabeth hospital.

Officer Brian Abdallah received a radio call from Sergeant Jack St. Hilaire to respond for an intoxicated female party. The victim was located on the staircase in the link area. Upon arrival he met with the victim who stated that she had been drinking vodka prior to her arrival. Mercy Ambulance responded and transported the victim to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for treatment.

Officers William Campanella and Edward Shea while on plainclothes patrol observed a party walking on the sidewalk drinking from a 1 quart 8 ounce bottle of Busch Light Beer. Officers Campanella and Officer Shea stopped the party and identified themselves as police officers and conducted a threshold inquiry. It was determined that the suspect was under the age of 21. The subject was then placed under arrest for Minor in Possession of Alcohol in violation of MGL C138, s34C.

9:30 PM 8017834 9/20/2008 Sat Bravo DRUG, POSSESS CLASS D c94C S34 Arrest 147 BAY STATE RD All Other Locations ALLEY WAY
Officers Brandon Stone and William Donnellan on plainclothes assignment were walking in the area of 147 Bay State Rd in the rear alley when four males walked by the officers while smoking what appeared to be a marijuana cigarette. Officers identified themselves and stopped the parties, one of the parties threw the marijuana cigarette on the ground. After retrieving the cigarette, the subject was advised that he was under arrest for possession of Class D substance. At this time Officers William Campanella and Edward Shea arrived on location to assist. The remaining three parties were asked if they possessed anything that officers should be aware of, and one party stated that he had a marijuana pipe. He turned the pipe over to officers and it was observed that the pipe contained green vegetable matter believed to be marijuana. He was then placed under arrest for possession of Class D substance. The other two parties were FIO’d and released.

Officers Brandon Stone and William Donnellan assigned to plainclothes patrol observed two males walking down the street with a large square object covered up by a jacket. Due to the youthful appearances of these subjects, officers decided to stop and FIO them. The parties produced MA driver’s licenses which showed that they were 17 years of age. The object in question which was concealed under the jacket was a case of Bud Light beer. Both subjects were advised that they would be summonsed to Brookline Municipal Court for being minors in possession of alcohol (M.G.L. 138/34c). The alcohol was seized and placed into BUPD evidence.

Officer Matthew Blakeslee stopped an individual carrying a case of beer in the rear of 575 Commonwealth Av. The party attempted to walk away from the officer. Due to the party’s youthful appearance and evasive behavior, Officer Blakeslee stopped him and requested identification proving that he was of age to possess alcoholic beverages. The party produced a "Republic of the Philippines," "Non- Professional" identification card as well as a "Republic of the Philippines," "Social Security System". Both forms of identification provided a date of birth of 10/27/1986. Officer Blakeslee questioned the party regarding his date of birth, where he purchased the alcoholic beverages and if he used those cards as identification. He stated that the identification he provided was correct and that he purchased the alcoholic beverages at a liquor store on Beacon St. The party stated that he lived at 575 Commonwealth Av and when Officer Blakeslee then requested to see his BU ID; he stated that he did not have it on him. Officer Blakeslee observed his BU ID in plain sight within his open wallet. It was determined that the subjects real date of birth of was 10/27/1988 making him 19 years old. Officer Blakeslee informed him that a criminal complaint would be taken out against him in Roxbury District Court for Liquor, Person Under 21 Possess (ch138 S34c) and Liquor ID Card/ License, False/Misuse (ch138 S34b). Officers seized a 12 pack of Heineken Beer and a 750 ml bottle of Gordon’s London Dry Gin.

9:00 AM 8017740 9/19/2008 Fri Bravo LARCENY UNDER $250 c266 S30 Open 704 COMMONWEALTH AV Academic OFFICE
Officer Matthew Blakeslee responded for a report of a past larceny. Upon arrival, Officer Blakeslee met with the victim who stated that he left his wallet inside his bag under his desk, unattended in his unlocked office on the second floor at 9:00 AM. He stated that when he went to retrieve his wallet from his bag at 3:00 PM, he noticed that his bag had been overturned and his wallet was missing. The victim reports that his wallet, $20.00 cash, MA driver’s license, BU ID, 2 Discover cards, Mastercard, debit card, 2 unknown charge cards and a pack of Dunhill cigarettes were taken. The victim further stated that his credit card companies notified him of the use of his credit cards at several locations that he believed they were in the Boston area and he has since cancelled all of his cards.

Officer Antoine Ramos was dispatched to meet with a victim of a robbery. Upon arrival he met with the victim who stated he was standing in front of 180 Bay State Rd at 12:10 AM the victim noticed two black males walking eastbound on Bay State Rd. The first suspect stopped and approached the victim while the second suspect maintained his distance away from them. The victim stated that the first suspect engaged him in conversation asking for the time and if the victim had any marijuana or cigarettes on him. The victim stated the conversation was casual and felt no danger at the time. The suspect stated he was attending M.I.T and the victim tried to exchange telephone numbers with suspect. The victim stated that as he was typing the number into his cell phone the suspect grabbed the victim’s cell phone and began running eastbound on Bay State Rd. The victim stated that the second suspect began to slowly walk in the same direction as the first suspect. As the second suspect walked past him he stated that he did not know the first suspect. The first suspect was described as black male, early twenties, between 5’10” and 5’11” tall, medium build with a dark complexion. The suspect was wearing a black hood sweater along with dark colored or possibly black pants and a black book bag and possibly wearing a black do rag. The second suspect was described as black male late teens early twenties, 6’ tall, light skin complexion with crooked teeth. He was wearing an orange or possibly brown hood sweater and carrying a black book bag. The victim stated he may have seen the suspects earlier in the day but could not recall the time or the location. The victim was not physically harmed during this incident and refused medical treatment and counseling services at this time.

Officer Ron Gately was dispatched to meet the victim of a past larceny. Upon arrival he met the victim who stated that her easel, paints, brushes and a two wheel hand truck used to move the easel were missing. The victim reports that the items were last seen in her office on August 18th. The victim further stated that Walsh Brothers construction was doing major renovation on the fourth floor and much of her office property was boxed up and moved around. A co-worker stated that her missing property was seen in another party of the building between July 29th and August 18th. The victim stated that the easel is valued at $860.00, the paints and brushes were valued at $100.00

Officer Peter McCarron responded to a fire alarm at 275 Babcock St. When Boston Fire and B&G arrived it was determined that an Emergency Fire Alarm pull station had been pulled in the rear of the Cafe next to an exit door. There is a security camera directly above the fire alarm pull station and the identity of the person responsible for the false fire alarm could be made from reviewing the security camera recording. Boston Fire and B&G reset the Fire Alarm system. Officer McCarron was not approached by anyone who might have activated the alarm.

Officer Matthew Blakeslee met with the victim of a past larceny of a bicycle. The victim stated that she locked her bicycle to a metal pole on the sidewalk in the front of the building at 10:15 AM. When she returned at 3:00 PM she discovered that her bicycle and cable lock were missing. The victim reports that her Colombia road bicycle was valued under $250.00.

3:00 PM 8017485 9/15/2008 Mon Bravo LARCENY OVER $250 c266 S30 Open 38 CUMMINGTON ST Library LIBRARY
Officer Alex Ayochok was dispatched to speak with the victim of a past larceny. Upon arrival he met with the victim who stated that earlier in the day she had been inside of the Science and Engineering Library, located at 38 Cummington St at 3:00 PM. The victim had been sitting at a table, her backpack placed next to her on an adjacent chair. The victim stated that the backpack was completely zipped with all of its contents intact, including her wallet. The victim walked away from where she had been sitting leaving her backpack unattended on the chair and returned at 3:15 PM and discovered the backpack unzipped with all of its pockets opened. The victim inspected the contents of the backpack and found her wallet was missing from inside. The victim claimed nothing else was missing from inside of the backpack. The victim reports that $300.00 cash, Bank of America debit, United Airlines Chase credit cards, Nordstrom Visa card, CA driver’s license.

Mugar Security reports that a female party left her backpack unattended on two occasions at 2:00 PM and 3:30 PM. At 4:20 she discovered that her wallet missing from her backpack. The victim reports that her wallet, valued at $20.00, $20.00 cash, Bank of America debit card, Citibank debit card, BU ID and apartment keys were taken. Mugar security reviewed video footage with negative results.

1:30 PM 8017376 9/15/2008 Mon Bravo DANGEROUS WEAPON ON SCHOOL Judicial Referral GROUNDS, CARRY c269 S10 140 BAY STATE RD Residential DORM ROOM
Officer Peter McCarron was dispatched for a report of a male party with weapons in his room. Upon arrival he met with Ken Douglas, who stated that the Residence Hall Director of 140 Bay State Rd, Colette Potts, had information that a resident had martial arts weapons in his room at 140 Bay State Rd. Officers McCarron, Richard Cabral and Thomas Gaffney met with Ms. Potts and the party in her office. They escorted the party to his room to secure the weapons. The party turned over a 3 foot chain, expandable baton, 2 ten inch martial arts throwing knives and a half moon cutting knife.

Mugar security reports that a female student reported the theft of her iPod from the 1st floor computer terminal area. The victim went to the computer terminal area at 12:37 PM and left the area at 12:50 PM and discovered her iPod was missing shortly after that. The victim reports that her Apple iPod was valued at $200.00. Mugar security reviewed video footage and it showed a male subject seated next to the victim. The male subject remained after the victim left and then appears to be looking around the area. The male is described as 5’11” tall, mid thirties, muscular build, 190 lbs and short black hair, slicked back. The party was wearing sunglasses, yellow polo shirt, black pants, large ring on the left hand ring finger and carrying a black, red and white book bag.

9:45 AM 8017387 9/15/2008 Mon Bravo MOTOR VEH, LARCENY OF c266 S28 Open 766 COMMONWEALTH AV All Other Locations PARKING LOT
Officer Ron Gately was dispatched to the parking lot at 766 Commonwealth Av for a stolen motor vehicle report. Upon arrival he met with the victim who stated that she parked her vehicle at 9:45 AM in the lot. When the victim returned at 6:45 PM, she discovered the vehicle was missing. There was broken glass in the space possibly from a driver’s side window. The victim stated that the vehicle has a Lojack. The victim also stated that she had personal property in the vehicle as well. The victim also turned in a cell phone that did not belong to her that she found on the ground where her car was parked. The cell phone will be placed into evidence for the detectives. BU Police dispatch received a call of a motor vehicle accident in the area of Commonwealth Av and Granby St. The vehicle that caused the accident was identified as the stolen vehicle. The operator of the stolen vehicle was seen running from the scene of the accident and left the vehicle abandoned. The suspect was described as a light skin black or Hispanic male wearing a blue striped shirt and carrying a dark colored bag. The suspect was last scene running West on Commonwealth Ave. Boston Police were notified by BU Police dispatch about the accident and will book the accident report and handle the recovery of the stolen vehicle from the accident.

8:00 AM 8017383 9/15/2008 Mon Bravo BUILDING, VANDALIZE c266 S104 Open 1 UNIVERSITY RD Athletic Facility BUILDING
Sergeants Jefferey Burke and Patrick Nuzzi and Officers Alex Ayochok, Christopher Zengo and Diane Smith were dispatched to a writtenbomb threat on the side of 1 University Rd. Upon arrival they spoke to Mindy Stroh, Director of Student Activities at Boston University she stated that a party had parked his car in the side lot of 1 University Rd and observed a written bomb threat on the wall. The writings stated, "I have a bomb in the building Eric H ***-***-****.” Officers did a walk through of 1 University Rd. and nothing suspicious was discovered.

5:00 PM 8017302 9/14/2008 Sun Bravo FOUND DRUGS / INSTRUMENTS Judicial Referral 610 BEACON ST Residential DORM ROOM
Officers Scott Rocheville and Jacob Verge were dispatched for found drug paraphernalia. Upon arrival they met with ORL staff who reported they had discovered a large glass pipe inside a room. ORL stated there was a strong odor of marijuana coming from the room and proceeded to enter the room to investigate. Two of the residents were present. ORL stated the odor was very strong in one of the suites, and there they discovered a tall glass pipe next to the bed. The resident of the suite was not present at the time. Officers observed a two foot tall clear and yellow glass pipe and an aluminum bud crusher, with a small amount of residue inside next to the bed in room 323C. Officers took possession of these two items and placed into evidence.

3:04 AM 8017273 9/14/2008 Sun Bravo FIREWORKS, POSSESS UNLAWFUL c148 S39Court Summons 400 THE FENWAY Public Property STREET
Officer Paul Devlin was flagged down by a doorman for the An Tua Nua restaurant, who stated that he had just observed 3 black males who appeared to be cutting a bike lock and stealing a bike from the bike rack located in front of 844 Beacon St. The doorman stated that he did not see which direction the black males fled. The witness reported that the first suspect was a black male was wearing a dark grey hoodie with baggy blue jeans. The second suspect was a heavyset, light skinned black or Hispanic male wearing a white shirt and light blue hoodie and he was unable to provide a description of the third suspect. Officer Devlin quickly checked the area and provided Officer John Mahoney, who responded to assist a description of the suspects. Shortly afterwards both officers observed 3 black males heading eastbound on Park Drive towards the Landmark center. Two of the males matched the description given by the witness.The suspects observed the officers approaching and spilt up. Officers stopped one of the suspects on Park Dr and the Fenway and asked where he was coming from and he stated, "Just riding around." The subject then stated he had, "just left work" and then stated he was with his girlfriend at BU. Officer Devlin patted the suspect down for weapons and discovered wire cutters in his right front pants pocket. The subject was wearing a backpack and was asked what he had in the backpack. The subject voluntarily opened the backpack and officers discovered 5 packages of TNT fireworks. Also inside the bag was a black handled/silver blade folding knife. When stopped the subject was riding a purple women’s cut Magna mountain bike. The subject initially stated the bike was his, but then claimed it belonged to his aunt. Officer Mahoney contacted the subject’s aunt and she stated that the subject has a bike but it was not a women’s purple one. She further stated to Officer Mahoney that she does not own a bike. Officer Antoine Ramos responded to An Tua Nua to see if the witness could identify the subject, however the witness had left the area. Officer Ramos then checked to the bike rack at 844 Beacon Street and discovered a bike lock securing a bike had visible cut marks on it. Sergeant Daniel Healy arrived on scene and a determination was made to summons the subject for Possession of Fireworks 148/39 to Roxbury District Court and seize the fireworks, bike, wire cutters, and knife.

Officer Antoine Ramos was dispatched for a report of an intoxicated party. Upon arrival he met with the on call Resident Assistant Steven Hirsch, who stated that while in front of 700 Commonwealth Av he noticed the victim sitting on a bench and appeared to be visibly intoxicated. Hirsch escorted the victim to the security station and contacted the Boston University Police Department. The victim’s speech was slurred, his eyes were glazed over and he could not maintain his balance while standing up. The victim stated he was drinking alcohol earlier in the evening, but could not give a specific amount. Mercy Ambulance responded and transported the victim to St. Elizabeth’s.

Officer Matthew Blakeslee was flagged down by a passing motorist who stated that he just saw some individuals attempting to remove locked bicycles from a bicycle rack near 270 Babcock St. The witness stated that he sitting inside of his vehicle, parked across from 270 Babcock St, when he witnessed what appeared to be two males attempting to remove bicycles from a bicycle rack. He stated that two other males were standing as "look – outs." He said that he then shouted to the males from his vehicle and was approached by one of the males, described as wearing a red t-shirt. He then stated that they left the area on bicycles in the direction of Gardner St and Malvern St and he followed them down the street in his vehicle and flagged down Officer Blakeslee at 120 Ashford St. The witness described the individuals as young kids and Hispanic, but could not give a clothing description other than the red shirt. Officer Blakeslee began checking the area of Gardner St in the rear of 1065 Commonwealth Av and noticed four males on bicycles. As Officer Blakeslee approached the males they noticed him and attempted to ride away from him. Officer Blakeslee stopped one of the individuals and the other three suspects returned to the location on their own. Officer William Donnellan responded to assist at the scene. The witness also arrived at Officer Blakeslee’s location and identified the four males as the ones he saw attempting to remove bicycles from the bicycle rack. The witness also stated that when he saw them they had a bag in their possession that they did not take with them. Officer Blakeslee requested units check the bicycle racks at 270 Babcock St. At that location, Officers Tom Smith and Christopher Zengo found a black and white "North Face" brand bag containing yellow handled bolt cutters.The witness returned to speak with Officers Zengo and Smith, but stated that he could not identify which individuals he had seen attempting to remove the bicycles from the bicycle racks, but showed officers the location where he observed the incident. He could not identify which bicycles they were attempting to remove. Officer Blakeslee trespassed warned the four individuals from all property owned, occupied or used by the Trustees of Boston University and their affiliates. The bolt cutters and bag were seized and put into evidence.

Officer Kevin St Ives was dispatched for a report of a B&E to a motor vehicle. Upon arrival he met with the victim, who stated that she parked her vehicle in front of 111 Cummington St at 6:30 PM. When she returned at 10:13 PM, she discovered her passenger side window had been smashed and her iPod was missing. The victim reports that her Apple iPod was valued at $260.00.

Officer Christopher Zengo responded for a radio broadcast of a person trying to steal a bicycle from a bike rack in front of 675 Commonwealth Av. Upon arrival Officer Zengo observed a black male wearing a red shirt bent down next to a bicycle trying to cut through a cable lock with wire cutters. As Officer Zengo exited his cruiser the suspect turned from the bicycle and tried to walk away. Officer Zengo ordered the suspect to stop and then placed him under arrest. The suspect was transported to the Boston University Police Department station for booking. The wire cutter and cable bicycle lock were taken into evidence and placed into evidence. Due to the damage made to the cable lock, the bicycle was taken for safe keeping to the Boston University Police Department and placed into a bike locker. A note was left at the bicycle rack for the victim to contact the BU police.

Officer Anicet Dybantsa respondedfor a report of an intoxicated female on the 5th floor. Upon arrival he met with ORL staff who stated that she observed the victim in her room, sleeping in her bed. She also stated there was vomit on the floor next to her bed. Officer Dybantsa could detect the strong odor of alcoholic beverages emanating from her person. Mercy Ambulance responded and transported the victim to St. Elizabeth’s hospital for further treatment.

Officers William Campanella and Peter McCarron were observing large crowds of individuals leaving the Ashford St area. During this time, Officers observed two males walking on Ashford St drinking from red party cups. Officers approached the parties and identified themselves as police officers. Both individuals attempted to flee on foot throwing the red cups onto the sidewalk and spilling the contents, which was later determined to be beer in front of the officers. Both individuals were then stopped and it was determined that both individuals were under the age of 21 years old. At this time, another individual, later identified walked towards officers carrying a red party cup and upon seeing the officers threw his cup to the ground, spilling the contents, which was determined to contain beer. It was further determined that the third party was also under 21 years of age. All three parties will be summons into Brighton District Court for a hearing for Minor in Possession of Alcohol, MGL C138 s34C.

Officers Vincent Noga and Ron Gately responded for a report of a person down just outside of 685 Commonwealth Av. Upon arrival, theyobserved an unconscious male party lying on a park bench. The victim regained consciousness after several minutes, before the ambulance arrived, and was incoherent and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. Mercy Ambulance responded and transported the victim to the Beth Israel Hospital.

Officer Larry Mackin met with the victim of a past larceny. The victim stated that on 9/11/2008 at 7:00 PM he secured his bicycle to aparking meter at Bay State Rd and Beacon St. The victim further stated that he returned for his bicycle on 9/12/2008 at 10:00 AM and observed that his bike and lock were gone. The victim reports that his Schwinn bicycle was valued at $400.00.

Officer Jeffrey Kotkowski while responding to assist Officer Paul Devlin at 1019 Commonwealth Av, observed a male party staggering and almost falling over while being kept up on his feet and held upright by a another male, as they walked across the side entrance of 1019 Commonwealth Av on Babcock St. Officers Kotkowski and Devlin approached the parties and asked if they were in need of assistance. The victim then stood back against the building to keep himself from falling over. The victim was noticeably intoxicated and a strong smell of alcohol was emanating from his body. The other party stated that the victim was not from Massachusetts and that he was staying at 1019 Commonwealth Avenue on an overnight pre-freshman student pass. It was clear to officers that the victim would not be allowed in the dormitory in his current condition and that without any assistance he could cause harm to himself or others. Boston EMS service was then called and arrived on scene. The Boston EMT asked the victim how old he was and he stated that he was 18 years old. The Boston EMT then asked the victim if he wanted to go to the hospital and he replied no. The victim refused medical assistance from the EMT’s and signed a refusal waiver. With the victim’s refusal of medical assistance Officers Kotkowski and Devlin had no other choice than to take the victim to the station under protective custody. Officer Kotkowski then informed the victim that he was going to be placed in protective custody for his protection. The victim was then transported back to the Boston University Police Department. The victim was informed of his rights under the protective custody laws and offered a breathalyzer test which he refused. During the booking process it was determined that the victim was in fact 17 years old. Sergeant Robert Casey then called Lieutenant Archila, the Boston EMS Supervisor, to inform him that the victim was only 17 years old. Lieutenant Archila told Sergeant Casey that at 17, the victim could not refuse medical attention and informed him that he would send his EMS Unit to the station to transport the victim to the hospital. During this time, several attempts were made by Sergeant Casey to contact the victim’s parents via telephone but had negative results. Boston EMS then arrived at the station and transported the victim to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Ambulance #14 for further treatment. Sergeant Casey phoned the Nassau County Police Department and spoke with Officer Boccabella in regard to this matter. Officer Boccabella informed Sergeant Casey that he would have a Unit stop by the victim’s house to notify his parents of this situation. Sergeant Casey received a return phone call from the Nassau County Police Department who informed him that the victim’s mother was in Boston and staying at the Park Plaza Hotel. Sergeant Casey spoke with the victim’s mother on the phone regarding her son. Sergeant Casey then picked her up from the Park Plaza Hotel and transported her to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.

Officer Paul Devlin was dispatched for a report of a intoxicated female in the lobby. Upon arrival he met with the victim who was seated on the lobby bench with her head down and a fresh scrape on her left knee. She had a difficult time providing identifying data and could not remember what happened to her knee. The victim was cooperative and admitted to having several drinks. Shortly afterwards, the victim vomited on herself and the lobby floor. Mercy Ambulance responded and transported the victim to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for further evaluation.

Upon arrival he met with the reporting party who stated that she was walking on Commonwealth Av when she observed the victim slumped on a parking sign. When the reporting party approached the victim, the victim spoke in slurred speech and became unconscious. Officer Campanella made contact with the victim, who in slurred speech stated that she had be drinking shots of alcohol and then went unconscious again. Mercy Ambulance responded and transported the victim to the Beth Israel Hospital.

Officer Jeffrey Kotkowski was dispatched for a report on a hit and run incident involving a motorcycle. Upon arrival he met with the victim who stated that his motorcycle had been struck by a motor vehicle while it was parked on the street along the curbing in front of the Eastern Standard restaurant. The victim reported that several witnesses observed a red BMW with registration number 13LM32 back their vehicle into his motorcycle. The witnesses left the area prior to Officer Kotkowski arriving at the scene. A note was left by the driver of the BMW on the victim’s motorcycle, but the only contact information given was a phone number that was unreadable. A query of the registration number was conducted and Officer Kotkowski was able to find a listed phone number for the BMW and an attempt was made to contact the party with negative results. The motorcycle sustained damage to its front fender. The estimated cost of damage is unknown at this time.

Officer Christopher Zengo was dispatched for a report of a past larceny. Upon arrival Officer Zengo met with the victim who stated that her wallet was stolen from the women’s locker room on the first floor at 915 Commonwealth Av. The victim stated that she left her belongings at the sink of the locker room at 3:00 PM. When she returned at 3:10 PM she noticed that her wallet was missing. The victim reports that her wallet, $49.00 cash, NJ driver’s license and BU ID were taken.

Officer Peter McCarron responded for a report of a pedestrian hit by a motor vehicle. Upon arrival he met with the victim who stated that he was putting trash in the dumpster in the alleyway behind 91 Bay State Rd, when a tan colored SUV struck him as it drove past. The victim stated that the passenger side mirror struck him in the middle of his back. The operator of the SUV did not stop and the victim was able to get a partial Massachusetts license plate number of XJ8 or JX8. The victim believes the tan SUV was a Jeep and estimates that it was travelling less than ten miles per hour. The victim reported pain in the area where he was struck but refused medical services and stated that he would seek medical treatment on his own later in the day.

Upon arrival he met with the victim who stated that he secured his mountain bike on the bike rack in front of 277 Babcock St on 9/5/2008 at 1:00 PM with a U-lock. When he returned on 9/8/2008 at 9:00 AM he discovered that his bicycle had been removed from the bike rack and the suspect had left the front tire and the U-lock secured to the bike rack. The victim reports that his Cannondale Mountain bike was valued at $1000.00.

Officers Tom Gaffney and Matt Quinlan were dispatched for a report of a stolen wallet. Upon arrival, they met with the victim who stated that her wallet was stolen from the Engineering Library on 9/8/2008 at 12:30 PM. The victim stated that her wallet was in her purse, which was next to the table she was sitting at. The victim stated that she left her purse unattended several times. The victim stated that she discovered her wallet was missing at 2:38 PM. The victim reports that her American Eagle wallet, valued at $30.00, NM driver’s license, Citi credit card, Bank of America debit card, Credit Union of New Mexico debit card, BU ID and $20.00 cash were taken.

Officers Matt Quinlan and Tom Gaffney were dispatched to the kitchen area to investigate a past incident between two workers. Upon our arrival they met with the Aramark Supervisor for the area. He stated that one of his employees reported that he was threatened with a box cutter by a fellow employee. The victim stated that he was in the locker room and was looking for bleach to clean the bathroom. He said to the suspect "Yo, do you where the bleach is?" The suspect said, "Who you saying yo to?” The suspect then held a box cutter in the air by the victim’s head. The victim stated that he did not slash at him or attempt to cut him. The victim did not want to press charges against the suspect. Aramark wanted the suspect removed from the building. The suspect was removed from the building.
