Catching a Glimpse of Bigfoot
Sasquatch Film Series supports nonprofit writing, tutoring center

Settle your doubts about Bigfoot — and help raise money for the nonprofit writing and tutoring center 826 Boston — at the Sasquatch Film Series tonight. The screening will start at 8 p.m. at the center, 3035 Washington St., Roxbury.
A chapter of the umbrella organization 826 National, 826 Boston supports young people in their writing and helps teachers inspire their students to write. It has four types of free programming: in-school, class field trips to the center, drop-in tutoring at the center, and workshops.
To draw attention to the nonprofit and to raise funds, 826 centers have street-front retail stores that sell unusual items. The Boston branch sells cryptozoology-related items, such as Sasquatch paraphernalia, and is known as the Greater Boston Bigfoot Research Institute.
One of the two films to be screened tonight is A Beast on the Run. Food and drinks will be served, and Sasquatch items will be for sale.
The Sasquatch Film Series begins tonight at 8 p.m. at 826 Boston, 3035 Washington St., Roxbury. (Attendees must be 21+.) A $10 donation is requested. The center is within walking distance of the Jackson Square and Stony Brook stations on the Orange Line. For directions, click here.
