  1. We had a lovely time at the graduation at Nickerson Field. It was a great day and a great ceremony.

The actual number of attendees within Nickerson Field was discussed at length within the group I was with.

Here are our estimates (which include graduates in the number)

    Tom 7,586
    Karate Kathy 8,500
    Mabel 8,500
    Carol 12,000
    Bob 13,901
    Eddie 14,002
    Jim (me) 14,312
    Erica 14668
    Elizabeth P (BU class of 2008) 15,000
    Rebecca 15,000
    Amy 16,000

We are interested in the police estimates of the crowd. 5800 + 20000 sounds a little high for within Nickerson. Anybody hear of any police estimates on this . There is a great deal of bragging rights due to the person who comes closest.

  2. This is the first university graduation for our family. My daughter has four siblings that will hopefully follow in her footsteps.
We traveled far to attend her graduation celebration weekend. It could not have been better. Tears came throughout the entire time Larry Lucchino spoke. His words were powerful. I hope all of the graduates remember his advice. Family, risks and balance seeking. Great advice that I wish I had heard some twenty-five years ago during my college graduation.
Thank you for a memorable weekend.

  3. My #2 daughter starts BU in September. She graduates from HS next week, then we turn right around and start serious prep for the Fall.

I’ll make sure that she sees these pictures, especially the second from last – the joy on those persons’ faces!

It will be her turn in 2012!!
