ITEC Welcomes Entrepreneur
Venture capitalist and entrepreneur Vinit Nijhawan joins SMG’s ITEC as a lecturer and executive-in-residence

Venture capitalist and entrepreneur Vinit Nijhawan joined the School of Management’s Institute for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization (ITEC) this semester as a lecturer and executive-in-residence.
Nijhawan is teaching the graduate course Starting New Ventures, which focuses on what makes venture capital and private equity practitioners successful.
“Boston University School of Management has become a top-ranked M.B.A. program,” Nijhawan says, “and I want to support the effort to make it the first choice for budding entrepreneurs and venture capitalists.”
Over the last 20 years, Nijhawan has founded four start-up companies. He currently advises and sits on the boards of several technology start-ups. In 2005, he was named a Mass High Tech All-Star by Mass High Tech: The Journal of New England Technology.
“For our students, Vinit brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that he is eager to share through his teaching, mentoring, and career counseling,” says Jonathan Rosen, executive director of ITEC. “Vinit also brings a research perspective that will help us design and implement new business models for the next generation of sustainable and socially responsible enterprises.”
