Jump, Jive, and Wail with West Coast Swing
Dance night in Arlington open to all ages

Keep the dust off your dancing shoes with lessons in west coast swing on Tuesday nights.
West coast swing mixes traditional swing dancing with Latin and hip-hop. Jon Schimmel and his team of instructors offer lessons on Tuesdays from 7 to 9:15 p.m. at the Arlington Lodge Dance Hall, 56 Pond Lane, Arlington. Open dancing follows, from 9:15 to 11:30 p.m.
New beginners are welcome on the first Tuesday of every month. The beginner class is part of a series that progresses throughout the month and covers seven basic patterns. All ages are welcome. You don’t need to bring a partner, but you should wear shoes with leather or hard plastic soles that will slip and slide on the hardwood floors.
Admission is $12 for beginner lessons and $15 for advanced lessons before 9 p.m. (dance included at no cost). After 9 p.m., admission is $6. For more information, call 617-623-3134 or visit DanceBoston.com. To get there: Take the Red Line to Harvard Square, then take the #77 (Arlington Heights) bus to Arlington Center. The dance hall is approximately two blocks from Arlington Center. Click here for more directions. For train and bus schedules, call the MBTA at 617-222-3200 or visit www.mbta.com.
