Rally for the Celtics
Celtics parade this morning celebrates Sweet 17

Think the Celtics are tired from playing 26 playoff games this year? They well may be, but pulling off their first championship in 21 years has pumped them up, and they will share their excitement with fans today in a rolling rally through the streets of Boston. At 11 a.m., the Celtics victory parade begins at the TD Banknorth Garden and will continue all the way to Copley Square. The faithful will not only have the chance to see all their 2008 champions on 16 Duck boats, but also past Celtics stars and all 16 previous trophies on two flatbed trucks.
Leaving from the Garden, the parade will take Causeway Street and turn left on Staniford Street. After going onto Cambridge Street, the champs will pass City Hall Plaza and head down Tremont Street, taking a right on Boylston and ending at Copley Square. Unlike past Red Sox and Patriots rallies, the Celtics victory parade will not stop at any point on the route, allowing police to better manage the festivities.
