Women’s tennis team takes the baseline against UCLA

With their 16th consecutive America East title secure, the Boston University women’s tennis team meets defending national champion UCLA in an NCAA first-round match Saturday, May 9, at noon Pacific time in Los Angeles. Joining the Terriers (15-5) and Bruins (17-6) at the Los Angeles Tennis Center are Arizona State University (11-8) and the University of Nevada at Las Vegas (20-7).
This will be the Terriers’ 11th straight trip to the NCAA tournament. UCLA enters the tournament with an at-large bid after finishing fourth in the PAC-10 standings, with a record of 5-3.
The 64-team field will play first- and second-round matches at 16 campus sites across the country. Winners will advance to the round of 16 at Texas A&M University starting May 15.
