Beanpot Nation
Sights from the Terriers’ 29th championship
The BU men’s ice hockey Beanpot victory on Monday night may have been the Terriers’ 29th tournament championship, but for this year’s players and fans, it was anything but routine. Last year at this time, the Terriers, with a 10-14-4 record, were out of the national rankings and locked out of the Beanpot finals after a first-round overtime loss to archrival Boston College. Now BU has the top spot in the rankings and a 22-5-1 record, and the Beanpot trophy is back where it belongs once more — on this end of Comm Ave.
BU returns to action this weekend when the team visits Maine for a two-game set on February 13 and 14. Both games will start at 7 p.m.
