  1. Thanks Russ! The city, schools, and residents of Boston owe you BIG TIME! I’ve driven by those empty lots and felt the emptiness they display. But, now I’ve seen what a difference a renovated playground makes for a community! Adults, children, and even pets, are back outside, enjoying their communities again. Thanks for all your hard work! You’ve certainly made this city a better place to live!

  2. This is precisely the kind of study envisioned by promoters of No Child Left Behind legislation. For all their faults, standardized tests do have their place. Instead of applying test scores as a “filter” to keep kids out of college, we should be analyzing data like these to build better “pumps” into the schools that will push our children to succeed.
