Beacon Hill Chamber Group Classical Concert
Music of Haydn, Vivaldi at BPL Charlestown branch tonight

The Beacon Hill Chamber Group Classica brings a program of Haydn and Vivaldi favorites to the Boston Public Library’s Charlestown branch tonight, May 24.
The free hour-long concert, which begins at 7 p.m., features oboist Yuri Maizels, the group’s music director, along with violinist Olga Kradenova, cellist Zoya Shereshkova, flutist Yulia Musayelyan, and Delgira Chunaeva on piano. In addition to Antonio Vivaldi’s Concerto in F Major, the musicians will perform three works by Franz Joseph Haydn: Menuetto, Divertimento “Der Geburtstag,” and London Trio No. 1 in C Major.
Maizels, a soloist and educator, has performed around the United States and Europe. A native of St. Petersburg, Russia, he studied at the Leningrad Conservatory.
The 7 p.m. concert on Monday, May 24, at the Charlestown branch library, 179 Main St., is free and open to the public.
