BostonTweet Comes to Campus Today
Live chat with Dean Elmore and BostonTweet at 1 p.m.
Watch BostonTweet and Dean Elmore discuss cheap things to do in Boston on Wednesday, September 8, at 1 p.m.
There’s no contest: Boston is the best college city, period. Think about it—the Sox, Newbury Street, tons of eateries, and a smorgasbord for history buffs. But even seasoned seniors may not know everything the city has to offer.
So, to make sure students are well versed on everything in the Hub, BostonTweet comes to Boston University today to chat with Kenneth Elmore, dean of students, about fun and inexpensive things to do in the city.
For all of you non-Twitterers, BostonTweet is the nom de plume of Tom O’Keefe, a Boston entrepreneur who began the twitter feed @BostonTweet two years ago. O’Keefe wanted to publicize local businesses in Boston. He regularly tweets about free events, restaurant openings, giveaways, and more.
O’Keefe and Elmore, @DeanElmore, will be chatting live at BU Central at 1 p.m. and all are invited to attend. For those who can’t make it, the chat can be streamed on BU Today in the window above. To participate in the conversation or to ask questions, use the Twitter hashtag #BuChats or post questions on BU’s Facebook page or right in the comments section below. To see a replay of their conversation, check back this afternoon.
The conversation with BostonTweet and Dean Elmore will be happening today at 1 p.m. in BU Central, GSU lower level, 775 Commonwealth Ave.; come to BU Central or participate online.
