Dancing, Prizes, and Art
College night at the MFA

It’s less than a mile and a half from the BU campus to the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Yet many students are unaware that a world-class art museum is in their own backyard. The current building opened in 1909 and is home to superb collections of American and European paintings, as well as ancient Greek, Roman, and Egyptian artifacts, to name just a few of its offerings.
This evening, the MFA is hosting what it bills as College Night. Thousands of students from area schools are expected for an evening of art, music, dancing, and food, all free. The event runs from 7 to 11 p.m. at the museum, 465 Huntington Ave., in Boston’s Fenway section.
Listen to acoustic guitar singer Liz Longley in the Coffee House, and dance to DJ Taylor Walker. Eat free snacks from Chipotle, explore the Museum with a trek from SCVNGR, and if you arrive early enough, get a ticket to a surprise concert by one of Boston’s most popular performers (seats are limited, first-come, first-served).
And there are prizes: an iPad giveaway, a year of free burritos, or the chance to go skydiving.
