Drivers, Pedestrians Advised To Be Cautious
Construction on Comm Ave starts Monday

Drivers take note: you’ll want to leave extra time for your commute home next week if you’re traveling inbound on Commonwealth Avenue.
National Grid is scheduled to begin resurfacing the inbound side of Commonwealth Avenue (towards Kenmore Square) between the BU Bridge and Blandford Street on Monday, September 13. The work will take place each evening from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. The project is expected to last one week, but is dependent on the weather.
One lane of Commonwealth Avenue will remain open at all times. However, drivers should expect temporary road closures at various intersections. Drivers and bicyclists should use caution traveling in the area. Boston Police will assist with traffic and pedestrian safety.
Drivers should report any emergencies to BU’s Facilities Management & Planning Emergency Control Desk at 617-353-2105.
