SMG Student Remembered Tonight
Service at Hillel House for Adam Robert Engel

Friends of Boston University honors student Adam Robert Engel, who died September 4, will hold a memorial service in his honor tonight, October 4, at BU’s Florence and Chafetz Hillel House at 8 p.m.
Engel (SMG’12) died after falling in the lobby of the Doubletree Guest Suites in Boston. The native of Old Bethpage, N.Y., was 19 years old.
Students recall the straight A student as a young man possessed of remarkable qualities. “He was a great person,” says Ted Mejia (CAS’12), who roomed with Engel. “He was one of the best people I ever met.” Kate Polacikova (SMG’12) describes Engel as “a great and loyal friend,” who “always knew how to make someone feel loved.”
Anyone interested in speaking at, or participating in, the service is asked to email Emily Weingart (SAR’12) at eweingar@bu.edu. Students who have photos of Adam they would like to see included in a slideshow that will run during the service are asked to email them to Paul Foster (CAS’12) at paulf721@bu.edu.
The memorial service for Adam Engel will take place on Monday, October 4, at 8 p.m., at the Florence and Chafetz Hillel House, 213 Bay State Rd., fourth floor.
