  1. Nicastro is a good kid in a bad situation. You all can sit here and judge him for afar but have absolutely no understanding of what went on. Don’t pretend like you’re smarter than you are.

  2. Know a lad well who played at BU. We sat down and talked about this situation and he said that alcohol and sex on campus are not uncommon. It is true the players are he’d in high esteem. With that, many girls just want to “hook up” with a hockey player(or other high profile athlete.. This happens on every campus, with most athletes. The athletes have a responsibility to themselves, the team, the University, the females on campus and the city that they are in to set high standards. I don’t think that celibacy is expected but theres a fine line that can’t be crossed. Unfortunately that fine line can be moved if someone decides to “exaggerate” the situation. I, by no means, say that this happened in this case, but it is possible. We need to the police and courts do their due diligence free from interference and bias. It is too bad that people charged are put into the media before they are found guilty. This kids life has been ruined even if he is found not guilty.
