YouSpeak: Has Christmas Come Too Early?
What happened to Thanksgiving?
The Halloween candy isn’t even packed away before drug store chains are filling the aisles with Christmas tree lights, wrapping paper, and bows. Holiday carols are already being piped into malls coast to coast. Santa arrived yesterday in Wilmington, N.C.—nearly a week before Thanksgiving.
A recent survey by Soasta, a leader in cloud and mobile testing, found that 75 percent of Americans think retailers should wait at least until Thanksgiving to put up Christmas decorations, and 78 percent said they should hold off on the holiday music until after Thanksgiving.
We wanted to know what you think. So this week’s “YouSpeak” asks: “Has Christmas come too early?”
“YouSpeak” typically appears each Monday.
