YouSpeak: New Year’s Resolutions
Easy to make, hard to keep
Every new year comes with resolutions: lose weight, quit smoking, study harder, save more. A nationwide survey recently found that two-fifths of Americans planned to make New Year’s resolutions, but the same poll showed that only one out of four people who had made resolutions the previous year thought their plans led to “significant, long-term change” and 49 percent said their lives had seen no change at all.
This week’s “YouSpeak” asks: “What are your New Year’s resolutions?”
“YouSpeak” typically appears each Monday.
