BU Evening Classes Canceled
GSU, FitRec, libraries remain open, student events being held as scheduled
With the National Weather Service warning that up to seven inches of snow may fall on the Boston area by Monday evening, accompanied by wind gusts of up to 40 miles per hour, BU administrators have canceled all classes that begin at or after 5 p.m. on the Charles River Campus, including Metropolitan College classes.
Medical Campus classes that begin at or after 6 p.m. are canceled. This includes the School of Medicine and its Graduate Medical Sciences Division, the School of Public Health, and the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine.
The School of Dental Medicine patient treatment center remains open as usual from 4 to 7 p.m. for its evening clinic.
Staff should check with their managers regarding work schedules. Employees in essential services should report as scheduled. All medical, dental, and PA students assigned to inpatient service are expected to be present, if possible. Students assigned to outpatient services should check with their course director or the policy at the clinical site.
All campus events are being be held as scheduled, and the 64th annual Beanpot Tournament will be played as scheduled, with BU facing off against BC in the championship game starting at 7:30 p.m. at TD Garden.
The George Sherman Union, the libraries, and all Dining Services dining halls are operating as usual. FitRec will be open until 9 p.m. for informal recreation. Physical education, recreation, and dance programs and classes that begin after 5 p.m. are canceled. The Track & Tennis Center (TTC) will also be closed for recreational programs this evening.

- Student Health Services
- Environmental Health & Safety
- Network Services
The MBTA’s T service and commuter rail service are operating on a normal schedule.
Snow is expected to fall steadily until 11 p.m., with another one to two inches accumulating overnight. A winter storm warning remains in effect for the Boston area until tomorrow morning.
