Looking for Narnia at Warren Towers
In our animated video, two best friends share the story of how they first met
Every day, thousands of students grab a meal or a late night snack at the Warren Towers dining hall. For many, it’s also where they first meet a future roommate or a best friend. Case in point: Eugenia Camacho (ENG’19) and Chris Ackerman (CAS’19, Questrom’19). Walking past a table one night at the beginning of freshman year, Camacho spotted a ukulele Ackerman had borrowed. Camacho leaned over, picked it up, and began strumming. That chance encounter led to a dinner, which led to a long conversation, which led to Camacho and Ackerman becoming best friends.
The mechanical engineering major and the business major say that if it hadn’t been for that serendipitous happenstance they probably would never have met. Over the years, their friendship has flourished, largely through regular Warren Towers dinner get-togethers. Those get-togethers have often expanded to include a wider circle of friends. In our video, animated by Carlos Soler, Camacho and Ackerman revisit their first meeting and talk about how their friendship has grown.
