Eat, Shop, Go
The first weekend of fall is officially here, and along with cooler weather, warmer sweaters, and the return of the pumpkin spice latte, Boston has a ton going on this weekend.
Rhythm ’n Wraps
Originally a Cambridge-based food truck, Rhythm ’n Wraps opened a brick-and-mortar spot near West Campus in 2018. It now serves affordable plant-based pizza, sandwiches, wraps, salads, and entrées—including chili bowls and tacos. Try the crispy-fried tofu wrap, topped with kimchi, hoisin, pears, scallions, and toasted peanuts, or the ol’ school wrap, with smoked apple–sage vegan sausage, BBQ ranch dressing, and caramelized onions.
Rhythm ’n Wraps, 1096 Commonwealth Ave., Boston, is open from 11 am to 9 pm, Tuesday through Thursday, with extended hours Friday and Saturday and limited hours on Sunday; closed Mondays. Find more information here.
Reformation
For the fashion-conscious and environmentally conscious shopper, Newbury Street’s Reformation is the place to find high-quality women’s clothing without sacrificing style or sustainability. The LA-based clothing boutique opened its first shop in Boston in summer 2018 and remains one of Boston’s best eco-friendly clothing stores for shoppers looking for clothes from denim jeans to bridesmaids dresses.
Reformation, 342 Newbury St., Boston, is open Monday through Thursday, 11 am to 7 pm, with extended hours on Friday and Saturday and limited hours on Sunday. Find more information here.
Country in the City Concert
For a free outdoor music concert, head to Boston City Hall Plaza Thursday night for the fourth annual Country in the City Concert. The show features Grammy-nominated country artist Hunter Hayes and Canadian country duo High Valley. City Hall Plaza’s central location means there are plenty of great places around to grab some food before, during, or after the show.
The free Country in the City Concert is at Boston City Hall Plaza, One City Hall Square, Boston, on Thursday, September 26, from 7 to 9 pm. Find more details here.
Boston Women’s Film Festival
This weekend, the Boston Women’s Film Festival celebrates notable films created by women from around the world. From Thursday, September 25, to Sunday, September 29, the Brattle Theatre and the Museum of Fine Arts will host movie screenings and panel discussions to discuss diversity and representation in women’s cinema. The festival will screen more than 20 female-directed films, starring actors like Emma Roberts (American Horror Story) and Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria).
The Boston Women’s Film Festival, hosted by Cambridge’s Brattle Theatre and the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, runs Thursday September 26, through Sunday, September 29, at various locations. Find more information on venues, films, and tickets here.
