Three celebrity alums debut new shows this year

Uzo Aduba (CFA’05)

Mrs. America A big-name cast joins Aduba on an FX miniseries about the 1970s push for the Equal Rights Amendment—and the campaign to defeat it. The show also stars Elizabeth Banks, Cate Blanchett, and James Marsden. Aduba plays politician Shirley Chisholm, the first African American woman elected to Congress. 

Michael Chiklis (CFA’85)

Coyote A 10-episode drama about a former border patrol officer, played by Chiklis, who is “forced to work for the very people he spent his career trying to keep out of America,” according to the Paramount Network, which commissioned the show. Chiklis is also an executive producer on Coyote.

Julianne Moore (CFA’83)

Lisey’s Story Produced by J. J. Abrams and based on a Stephen King novel by the same name, Lisey’s Story will air on the recently launched Apple TV+. Moore plays a widow forced to confront repressed memories of her late novelist husband, portrayed by Clive Owen.
