There are 5 comments on Tips for How to Have a Virtual Holiday Party That Isn’t Terrible

  1. Great ideas! BU does not allow departments to purchase gift cards or alcohol so some of these ideas like wine tasting or sending gift cards for supplies are not possible.

  2. How can you possibly have a zoom holiday party that doesn’t absolutely suck. Sorry, but in my honest opinion it’s actually worse to see individuals you love through a screen. Stop trying to sugar-coat this nonsense and maybe spread positivity with some concrete facts – like the possibility of widespread vaccination by June

    1. Well, you are being very negative right now. It’s hard times right now and people are trying to find ways to have fun during the holidays without family, and virtual parties are just the second-best option. It might not be super fun to see them through a screen but you have to pay attention to the important stuff: Spending time together no matter if through a screen or in person. As long as everyone is together on a zoom call, in the same house, nothing else should matter, and you should just enjoy the holidays.
