BU Today Is Looking for a General Assignment Writing Intern for 2021–2022

Students, if you are an experienced writer, BU Today would like to hear from you.
We have an opening for a general assignment writing intern for the 2021–2022 school year. Candidates should have strong writing skills and previous journalism experience (published clips are required). The paid internship will begin in early September and run through mid-May.
Interested candidates should be prepared to make a yearlong commitment and work 10 to 12 hours a week.
Responsibilities include pitching and writing stories about student life, as well as writing our weekly “Weekender” series and updating our “Neighborhood” series. Among other tasks: helping staff writers with background research, transcribing audio, closed-captioning videos, and assisting with breaking news stories.
