F*ck It Won’t Cut It & Student Government Offer Discounted Bluebikes for April
Ways to take advantage of Bluebikes and get outside
Even though the Wellness Days have passed, we still deserve breaks throughout the rest of the semester. As we continue to practice physical distancing, it’s easy to feel cooped up. Luckily, it’s getting warmer out (finally) and we know that outdoor interactions are a great COVID-safe alternative. Having a little movement outside can also boost energy levels and reduce feelings of depression and loneliness.
To help, F*ck It Won’t Cut It and BU Student Government have partnered to provide 1,000 discounted Bluebikes memberships for the month of April! Bluebikes is Boston’s regional bike-sharing system that gives members access to more than 3,500+ bikes and over 350+ stations, designed to offer a public transportation option, similar to a bus or train.
Biking serves as a great alternative to crowded trains and buses. You can grab a bike and head to your favorite COVID-safe Boston locations including the Museum of Fine Arts, Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Boston Common, Boston Harbor, Faneuil Hall, and more.

Our Favorite Bike Routes
If you are looking for a longer, therapeutic ride, there are some beautiful trails to choose from. Here are a few rides that will make your week:
1. Arnold Arboretum

Bike around the oldest public arboretum in North America. The route around the park is around 4.5 miles. You can also take your bike along the paved main area for a tree-lined path.
Location: 125 Arborway (30-minute ride from Marsh)
2. Charlestown Waterfront Bike path

A quick mile-long path that takes you along a historical journey near the harbor. Starting at Paul Revere Landing Park, you’ll pass by the USS Constitution and Charlestown Navy Yard. You can also take a short detour over to the Bunker Hill Monument.
Location: 36 1st Ave (25-minute ride from Marsh)
3. The Esplanade

We know this seems obvious but it’s super easy and totally worth it. The Esplanade takes you the length of the Charles from the Museum of Science to Watertown.
Location: The Silberway Overpass (2-minute ride from Marsh)
4. Jamaicaway Bike Path

If you are in for a longer ride, this is for you. This scenic 9-mile path stretches between Back Bay Fens to Franklin Park.
Location: 33 Pond Ave. (15-minute ride from Marsh)
5. East Boston Greenway

Check out this 2-mile abandoned railroad path that runs along the waterfront in East Boston. You’ll see beautiful views of the city skyline and harbor.
Location: 95 Marginal St. (50-minute ride from Marsh)
6. Southwest Corridor Park

Escape from the bustle of the city by exploring 6 miles of bike trails that take you through the South End, Back Bay, Roxbury, and Jamaica Plain.
Location: 38 New Heath St. (20-minute ride from Marsh)
7. DIY it!
If none of these trails suit your style, you can plan your own route. There are many historic and scenic ways to get from point A to B in Boston.
There are still ways to explore Boston and make memories while following COVID protocols. This semester has been filled with Zoom classes and activities so grab a mask and allow yourself to bask in the spring weather.
