Tell us about a green space or outdoor destination that’s special to you
With COVID-19 stubbornly lingering, most everyone’s on the lookout for outdoor places to eat, sip coffee, study, catch up with friends, or just take a walk. Fortunately, the BU campus and surrounding neighborhoods have all kinds of green spaces, from the nearby Amory Woods Sanctuary to pocket parks in the South End and from the expanse of the Charles River Esplanade to the Emerald Necklace park system.
Have a favorite? Let us know about it. In 150 words or less, tell us where you go to unwind, listen to a podcast, read, or meet a friend. Share what makes your favorite outdoor space special, what kind of amenities it provides (jogging paths, fountains or splash pools, bike trails, benches perfect for reading or people-watching).
Email your recommendations to today@bu.edu by September 7. Include your name, school and grad year if you’re a student, title if you’re a faculty or staff member. Feel free to snap a photo of your favorite park and send it along as an attachment. We’ll include as many photos as possible.
We’ll publish our story in mid-September, so keep an eye out and get ready to discover some hidden gems in your midst, just in time to enjoy New England’s late summer/early fall weather.
