Video: Does BU Have a Campus?
We hear from Terriers in this video
BU’s Charles River Campus? None of that. It’s a distinctly urban campus, bisected by Commonwealth Avenue, one of Boston’s busiest thoroughfares: each day, 20,000 pedestrians, 3,000 cyclists, and 36,000 cars trek along the BU section alone. Add to that the thousands of MBTA Green Line B trolley riders and MBTA No. 57 bus patrons and you get an idea of just how much a part of the city of Boston BU really is. And instead of meadows and woods, we have the BU Beach, that small strip of green that runs behind Marsh Chapel and abuts Storrow Drive.
That said, the two-mile stretch from Kenmore Square to West Campus has a distinct vibe. Does that make it a campus? Setting out to answer that question, PR/social media intern Irene Kim (COM’23) took to Comm Ave to ask students their opinion. Take a look at what they had to say.
