Video: Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups? Skittles? Snickers? What’s Your Favorite Halloween Candy?
In this video, Terriers share what candy is their favorite (and not so favorite) holiday treat
College students may be a little old for trick-or-treating, but that doesn’t mean they don’t scarf down their favorite holiday treats. We wanted to find out what Terriers’ top Halloween candy picks are, so BU Today guest host Yadira Cabrera (COM’24) recently stopped by Marsh Plaza to ask students their favorite holiday treats.
She also asked them to weigh in on the merits of one of the season’s most reviled or beloved (depends who you ask) Halloween staples: candy corn. And yes, the outer coating really is made from bug secretions, namely the resin produced by lac bugs, bright red insects found in Asia (yuck!).
Fun tidbit: according to CandyStore.com, the most popular Halloween candy nationwide is—drumroll, please—Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, followed by Skittles, M&M’s, Starburst, and Hot Tamales.
