Recent Work by Alum Artists: Lee Maxey (CFA’16)
Brooklyn-based artist Lee Maxey’s recent works often focus on ordinary domestic objects and spaces imbued with what one magazine termed “a spiritual otherness that borders on paranoia.” Tricky Triangle depicts a simple game she remembers from her childhood.
A number of her egg tempera paintings were part of a Curated Spotlight presentation last fall at NADA Miami 2022, an annual event organized by the nonprofit New Art Dealers Alliance. Maxey teaches painting at Brooklyn College.
