The Seven Types of People You’ll Meet at Commencement: Which One Are You?
From the student with the bedazzled graduation cap to the parents cheering in the stands, no graduation is complete without them.
With Boston University’s 150th Commencement festivities fast approaching, we will soon be welcoming parents, family, and friends to our city. We also recognize the eccentric personalities that come to the surface on this particular weekend; the fun, the crazy, and the stressed (finding parking on Comm Ave can be tricky). Nonetheless, we celebrate – and prepare! Here are some of the personalities you can expect to see at this year’s commencement ceremony. Which one are you?
1. The student who misplaced their cap and gown on the morning of graduation:

2. The student with all the honor cords:

3. The student who stumbles on their way up to get their diploma:

4. The student who spent weeks decorating their graduation cap:

5. The student with no post-graduation plans yet:

6. The family who cheers during the ceremony… even when they were instructed not to:

7. The stressed-out parent trying to find parking on Comm Ave, attempting to make it to the ceremony on time:

No matter how stressful and often chaotic commencement weekend can be, just remember to take time to celebrate and not sweat the minor inconveniences. You’ve made it, Terriers; enjoy the moment!
