Why should I go?
The Berklee College of Music is hosting free performances at Atlantic Wharf as part of its Summer in the City concert series. On select Tuesday evenings and Thursday afternoons, visitors to the waterfront location can listen to Berklee musicians play music from a variety of genres, including R&B, funk, world, pop, and classical.
The concert on June 20 will feature R&B duo Two Smooth. Bandmates Juan Botero and Kyle Takata take inspiration from past generations of music to write and perform their original new-age soul and upbeat R&B songs. The Berklee students’ singing, songwriting, and stage presence are enhanced by a 12-piece live band playing behind them.
Future concerts at the Atlantic Wharf include singer-songwriter and recent Berklee graduate Nora Meier on June 27, contemporary R&B-pop artist Keana on July 11, and more. Berklee’s Summer in the City concert series also hosts performances at other Boston-area locations, including Kendall Center.
