Thanksgiving=Giving Thanks: Terriers’ Notes to Favorite BU Staffers
What is Thanksgiving? Sometimes we forget, but it can be a good opportunity to give thanks for the people in your life. In honor of the holiday, we invited Terriers to write a short note of gratitude to their favorite BU staffer, who in turn read the notes and responded to their kind words in this video.
“I don’t work with students too often beyond my workers,” says Shayne McKenna, administrative coordinator at the Faculty of Computing & Data Sciences. “So having them recognize and write this for me personally really makes me feel good. I’m glad I made a positive impact.”
“This time of year does make me feel more thankful, because, especially as someone from California, you’re on your own,” says Arnav Swamy (COM’27), who thanks Rich Hall security assistant Robert Ebanks in West Campus for always greeting students with a warm smile. “To share those moments of happiness and gratitude for others makes a new city and a new environment a bit more welcoming.”
