From Sunrise to Sunset: a Day on the Charles River Campus
Life on an urban college campus—in the heart of a major city—is anything but uneventful. From the moment the sun rises (and often before), an endless parade of traffic moves up and down Comm Ave, accompanied by the sound of MBTA Green Line trolleys rumbling through campus. There’s the normal sprint to classes, labs, and offices, the racing from one end of campus to the other throughout the day—then it’s over before you know it.
In our mad dash to get from place to place, we rarely consider what a typical day on BU’s Charles River Campus looks like. Producer Bill Politis set out with his video camera to capture the rhythms and vibes of an early fall day as it unfolds from sunrise to sunset, talking to some of the people who keep it all running like clockwork.
Take a look. We think you’ll agree, the campus has never looked lovelier.
